MEET & GREET ASSESSMENT
The day of your Free Trial, we meet 15 minutes before the session
Who: ALL SPEAKERS Grades 4-12
The PSFT Assessment is required for every speaker who enters the PSFT program. During our meet and greet before your trial session, speakers are assessed through a casual conversation which includes impromptu questions. This format helps break the ice which allows us to get to know our speaker and observe current communication skills. (THIS IS NOT A TEST, NO PREPARATION NEEDED)
At the end of the trial session, the speaker will complete a self assessment. The assessment is a baseline used to help speakers identify their strengths and challenges. It is also used for us to monitor progress. After the assessment and trial session we discuss with the guardians the appropriate program that fits the speaker's needs. Each speaker is assessed individually. Siblings may not be placed or recommended into the same programs.
Until a speaker knows his or her current level of ability, it is impossible to realistically recommend programming, create goals and monitor progress. The PSFT assessment is critical to every student in our program for four main reasons:
Assesses the current level of a speaker's ability
Allows proper placement in our variety of programming
Provides individualized coaching and focus
Records and monitors progress toward success
Once enrolled, speakers will receive ongoing assessments measuring progress.
