Who: ALL SPEAKERS
Here at PSFT , we take the time to meet with every prospective student to assess their expectations and goals. Not every student participates in public speaking coaching for the same reason. It is essential to the progression of the student to be able to identify these expectations and goals before the student begins coaching. Many students have similar questions and concerns when making the decision to begin coaching in speaking skills, whether it is social skills, interview prep, speaking confidence or debate.
What is a Free Trial Session: Based on availability, your student will have the opportunity to participate in a 30 min private or 1 hr small group online session with a PSFT Coach.
On the day of your Free Trial, we meet and briefly assess student skill level. During the trial, students are assessed through a casual conversation, fun impromptu questions, and a brief questionnaire.
The PSFT Assessment is required for every speaker who enters the PSFT program. (THIS IS NOT A TEST, NO PREPARATION NEEDED)
After the assessment, we discuss the appropriate program that fits the speaker's needs. Each speaker is assessed individually. Siblings may or may not be placed or recommended into the same programs.
Until a speaker knows his or her current level of ability, it is impossible to realistically recommend programming, create goals and monitor progress. The PSFT assessment is critical to every student in our program for four main reasons:
Assesses the current level of a speaker's ability
Allows proper placement in our variety of programming
Provides individualized coaching and focus
Records and monitors progress toward success
Once enrolled, speakers will receive ongoing assessments measuring progress.
